This was an older home that a young family of five purchased with visions of bringing it back to life. It was located on an unusually large lot is Homewood and really provided the space that they needed for their family. The main objective of this project was to reconfigure the kitchen, living and dining areas and to add a master suite above the garage. The new kitchen is he center of the space opening up to a natural light flooded nook. It also opens to a new dining area and the existing living space. The master suite is accessed by a small flight of stairs leading up through a semi-private desk area. We designed the master bedroom to have vaulted ceilings and windows on both the front and rear of the space allowing for wide enough room to accommodate a small private sitting area. The bathroom provides his and hers closets connected by naturally lit bathroom amenities. The new and existing exterior elements were painted the same colors to make them come together as one.
