A new more open kitchen space that allowed for family gatherings and connectivity to the surrounding space was the goal on this project. The owner had vision of a space and we really wanted to help them achieve their space. The new design reoriented the kitchen allowing it to be the hub of activity as the elbow of the existing public space. We also opened up to a new nook area connected by an enlarge butler’s pantry type opening. The openness allows for light to flow from both front and rear windows. The kitchen itself includes a large island, a storage bench built in and around the exiting window, and all the amenities the owner requested. The space has really met the needs and expectations of the owners and we love that they love it.
